Main scope and purpose:

Ensures excellent services and standards are provided by the bar and the staff. Address and correct bad practices and concerns that may arise. Assure that standard procedures are followed and consistent. Provide customers with good experience by assisting them and take corrective actions when necessary.
Perform regular cleaning activities to the highest standard to maintain workplace hygiene. Accomplish daily account reconciliations properly and efficiently.
 
 

Main duties and responsibilities:

Supervisory

  • Ensure all venues open on time and that they are ready for business.
  • Ensure excellent service, allocate and support staff throughout the shift to maintain speed of service and cleanliness of venue.
  • Keep staff busy and productive at all times.
  • Ensure staff meet the standards of the bars, addressing and correcting bad practice where need be.
  • Maintain operation to a high standard.
  • Actively responding to problems that arise and keeping management up to date.
  • Feedback on your shift to the managers and supervisor taking over.
  • To follow all Till and Cashing up procedures and ensure all staff are following these correctly.

 

Bar

  • Welcoming guests and presenting them with a menu in a friendly and timely manner
  • Enforcing alcohol awareness; knowing when to stop serving customers, checking for identification as to not serve minors, keeping an eye on customers and thinking ahead regarding their level of intoxication and alcohol consumption.
  • Informing guests about special items and menu changes / availability
  • Assisting guests with recommendations, taking into consideration their preferences and our most profitable items
  • Accurately not drink orders and transfer into POS
  • Correct and consistent quality in preparation of drinks
  • Delivering the ordered drinks in a timely manner
  • Checking with customers to make sure they are enjoying their drink and taking appropriate action to correct any problems
  • Checking with customers if they have finished their drink and clean / remove glasses
  • Accurately prepare, collect, and control bills and customer payments
  • Maintain consistent and excellent standard of cleanliness in all aspects of the bar
    • Perform regular cleaning duties
  • Performing regular control and maintenance of Mise-en-place for smooth operation
    • Glasses
    • Items for drink preparation
    • Condiments
  • Consistent cleaning and polishing of glasses and teapots
  • Ending of shift in a clean, completed, and organized manner
  • Be informed about the menu items and their ingredients and preparation method
  • Maintain and replenish stock levels by placing timely orders
    • Front and back of house
  • Maintain personal hygiene and grooming standards
  • Ability to deal with and correctly respond to customer complaints
  • Must attend all scheduled training and development sessions
  • Follow and apply procedures, lessons, and information learned during training
  • Collect reviews and likes for Facebook and TripAdvisor

 

Management

  • Ensure all venues open on time and that they are ready for business.
  • Ensure excellent service, allocate and support staff throughout the shift to maintain speed of service and cleanliness of venue.
  • Keep staff busy and productive at all times.
  • Ensure staff meets the standard of the bar, addressing and correcting bad practice where needed.
  • Maintain operation at a high standard.
  • Actively responding to problems that arise and reporting of these problems.
  • Monitor bar and restaurant area cleanliness and workplace hygiene, take actions if necessary.
  • Ensure all bar materials, machines and utilities are well maintained and in good working condition.
  • Ensure there is sufficient stock of beverages, utilities and all other necessities at all time.
  • Creating the monthly roster for all service staff, ensuring they take their holidays accordingly and adjusting the roster in case staff is absent or sick. Organize roster and schedules in accordance with available resources to ensure that bar is well staffed especially in peak hours
  • Prepare and control all staff OT, Part Time and Sick leave information.
  • Resolving internal staff conflicts if needed, gathering feedback and making sure everyone works well together in a respectful way.
  • Organizing weekly staff meetings
  • Solve customer problems related to all F&B. Support all bar staff in doing so.
  • Making sure the quality of all beverages and food served to customers is up to standard.
  • Follow all Till and Cash up procedures and ensure all staff are following these correctly.
