Mad Monkey Hostels, the leading provider of youth hostel accommodation and travel experiences in South East Asia, today announced that they would be opening a new 100-bed hostel property in Pai, Northern Thailand. Mad Monkey Hostels is now offering over 165,000 annual bed nights in Thailand over its three properties of Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Pai.
The deal is a management agreement with MK Properties, a leading property developer in Thailand and will see the opening of a new Mad Monkey Adventure station focused on local tours, experiences and socially responsible activity in the local community.
Alex Darroch, Thailand CEO at Mad Monkey Hostels, explained, “Pai is an amazing destination and offers so much to travelers that is yet to be discovered. That is why it is perfect for a Mad Monkey Adventure station. We will be developing a number of tours and activities in Pai that allow our customers to get off the beaten track and explore Northern Thailand.”

The new Pai property, when linked to our property in Chiang Mai and Bangkok, provides us with the ability to transfer customers from Bangkok to Northern Thailand for a complete adventure experience, covering Chiang Mai and Pai before crossing into Laos or returning to the capital.
Satin Walia from MK properties stated, “Mad Monkey is an excellent hostel operator and we are delighted to have secured a partnership with them in Pai that will see Mad Monkey & MK Properties work together to provide valuable employment opportunities and deliver a positive social impact to our local communities.
