Buy your ticket now and the countdown begins when you check in to your first Mad Monkey. Once you’ve purchased your Golden Ticket, we’ll send you an email with promo codes that allow you to book your free dorm beds or 50% off private rooms through our website — staging.madmonkeytickets.com. Below these FAQs is a step-by-step guide on how to activate your Golden Tickets, along with how to book your free beds.

The number of days (14, 30, 60 or 90) starts to count down consecutively from your activation date, just like a multi-day travel pass or train ticket that is valid for 30, 60 or 90 days from its first use.

You can activate the ticket anytime before December 31st, 2023.

It is important to note that your ticket is valid from the consecutive number of days after your first check-in. Either 14, 30, 60 or 90, based on the ticket you purchase.

Flexible Cancellation is an available add-on at checkout. Tickets that are not yet activated can be transferred to friends or family. Transfers need to be processed by our Customer Service ahead of time.

No, not at all! You can stay with us for as long or as little as you’d like at any Mad Monkey property. It’s completely normal for people to explore other cities, islands or countries for a couple of days at other locations and return back to a Mad Monkey.

No, Golden Tickets are only valid for Mad Monkey stays.

No, you can come and go between locations as you please. Stay at every Mad Monkey that’s included in your ticket, or just stay at one — the choice is yours!

Book in advance to secure your beds. This is especially important during peak season and holiday dates.

You simply book online using our direct online booking system using the promo codes that will be sent to your account’s email address. It is essential that you are logged into the Mad Monkey account you used to purchase the ticket. Otherwise, the promo codes may not work. A step-by-step guide for activating and booking your tickets will be sent to you after your booking is completed.

We are re-opening all our existing properties and extending our network with new properties throughout the year. Please check the Mad Monkey Travel Advisory for the latest updates on what’s open and opening soon!

All properties in Southeast Asia are available to book with Southeast Asia Golden Tickets. The only properties that are unavailable are our Australia locations. All properties in Cambodia are available to book with Cambodia Golden Tickets.

Properties may open and close throughout this period. Follow us on social media as we have a lot of exciting openings planned for 2022 and beyond.

Yes, of course! You can stay for as many days as your ticket is valid. Stay at one hostel or all — it’s up to you!

The ticket is for your accommodation only. Air travel, other transportation tickets, food, drink, and tours are not included — pay for these as you need them.

Flexible Cancellation is an available add-on at checkout. If you don’t avail Flexible Cancellation, your tickets are non-refundable unless international leisure travel remains significantly restricted* beyond December 31, 2023. 

If international leisure travel to or from your home country or the Southeast Asia region still remains significantly restricted by December 31, 2023, we will extend your travel period by a further additional year (December 31, 2024) or offer full refunds upon request starting January 15, 2024.

If you are no longer able or interested in using your ticket, you may consider transferring or gifting the ticket into someone else’s name so they may use it instead. This may be organized through Mad Monkey Customer Service.

Yes of course, buy as many as you need but please keep it reasonable as they are selling fast and we want as many people to benefit as possible.
