Top Sydney Markets

From second-hand treasure coves to vegan-friendly gatherings, Sydney’s market scene erupts every weekend. Hundreds of stallholders set up shop across town, ready to present their goods to the thousands of market-goers on their morning weekend rituals. Whether you’re shopping for fresh produce at the organic farmer’s market in Sydney’s hipster suburb of Marrickville, or going thrift shopping in the second-hand clothing section of Glebe Markets in the city’s inner west, the Sydney markets scene is not to be missed.
What’s a weekend without browsing curiously passed the market stalls, tasting the varieties of street foods, and listening to live music while sitting in the sun with your friends? Rain, hail or shine, there are many Sydney markets to be enjoyed. With our extremely mild winters, there’s never an excuse not to get outdoors. Below are some of our favourite Sydney markets to visit while you’re in town.

The Rocks Market

Probably one of the most iconic markets in Sydney due to its prime location, is The Rocks Market. It features a range of artisanal products, gourmet foods, and locally-made fashion and accessories. Every weekend, market stalls cover the historic cobblestoned streets of The Rocks, the first European settlement in Australia. If you’re looking to take back an authentically Australian souvenir, these markets are the place to find it.
