With a total land area of 63,600 hectares (157,200 acres), Manila is a vibrant city characterized by its dense population, eclectic mix of cultures, and towering skyscrapers standing beside historic landmarks and lively street markets.

ENJOY THE NIGHT LIFEThere are various places throughout Manila, BGC, Makati, and Quezon City, where you can encounter all types of bars and restaurants to eat, drink, chill and party. FOOD TRIP IN BINONDOBinondo is a lively and historic Manila site. It was founded in 1594 and is considered to be the world's first Chinatown. Like the other Chinatowns, tours to Binondo restaurants are fun as the town is made up of tight and vibrant alleys with must-try foodie spots. It is packed with hole-in-the-wall joints, traditional bakeries, and budget-friendly streetside shops. SHOP ANYWHEREShopping is one of the most enjoyable activities in Manila because of the multitude of malls here. From local fashion to furniture, antiquities, arts and crafts that you can get at a bargaiin to establishments that combines high-end boutiques, restaurants, shopping amenities, leisure areas, and entertainment halls. FEAST OF THE BLACK NAZARENEThe highlight of the celebrations is the hours-long mass procession popularly known as Traslación, the Spanish word for "transfer." The original Black Nazarene statue was created by an unknown Mexican sculptor, brought to the Philippines, and enshrined in Bagumbayan on May 31, 1606 and is believed by devotees to be miraculous. INTRAMUROSKnown as the "Walled City," is the oldest district and historic core of Manila. Intramuros is Manila's only district where travelers can see complete architectural remnants of the Spanish Era. A day trip to Intramuros is enough for you to go sightseeing in this well-preserved historical attractions like Fort Santiago, Manila Cathedral, San Agustin Church, Plaza de Roma, Casa Manila, Baluarte de San Diego and more.

  • Dry season:
    December – May Which allows tourist tourist to visit not only the capital but other provinces and islands. Known for having the longest Christmas season, guests can start feeling the holiday spirit as early as September and all through out the “Ber-months” which is all months that end in “ber”.

CUSTOMS & ETIQUETTE

  • Dress modestly at churches or religious sites and be quiet during prayers or ceremonies.

  • Take off your shoes when entering Filipino homes or traditional spaces if asked.

  • Greet with a nod, handshake, or “mano po” for elders as a sign of respect.

  • Point with an open hand or lips instead of your index finger to avoid being rude.

  • Offer or accept items using your right hand or both hands as a sign of respect.

  • Be mindful of public displays of affection and respect personal space.

  • Celebrate festivals respectfully and ask before photographing ceremonies or rituals.

WHAT TO EAT

With Manila being an entry point to the Phillippines for most countries, one should give the home grown fast-food chain Jollibee a try. Other Filipino favorites you can try are Halo-Halo, Kare-Kare, Sisig, Lumpia, and any Silog Meals which is Si=sinangag (fried rice), Log=itlog(egg), and a choice of protein.

Private Pickup:
You have two options: a yellow metered taxi, with rates similar to Grab car bookings, ranging from 200-300 pesos, or a fixed-rate airport taxi, which is ideal for larger groups or travelers with multiple pieces of luggage.
