Discover the world of bear conservation on the Bear Care Tour, an immersive behind-the-scenes experience at Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Centre. Join the Free the Bears team to care for over 120 rescued Sun bears and Moon bears. Gain insights into why these magnificent creatures are threatened in Cambodia and explore our world-class facilities. Learn about our Education and Research Programs, all contributing to a brighter future for wild bears. Get hands-on by helping the Bear Care Team prepare food and treats for the bears' forest enclosures. Your participation directly supports bear rescue from the illegal wildlife trade. Located just an hour's drive from Phnom Penh, the Cambodia Bear Sanctuary is nestled within the Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Centre and is home to the world's largest sun bear sanctuary.

Need to know info:

Meet at the tour desk at 7:40 AM
Includes Transportaion, Lunch -Beverage, Entry at the Phnom & Takmao Wildlife Centre
Bring closed footwear, sunscreen & suitable clothing for a day in the forest, and your best Camera.
Fully refundable 24+ hours from start time or if cancelled by Mad Monkey.

Itinerary:

08:00 AM - Depart Mad Monkey
09.00 - 09.30 AM : Arrive at the conservation centre
09:30 - 10:00 AM : Welcome & introduction talk
10.00 - 11.00 AM : Guided tour around the bear sanctuary and introduction to the bears
11.00 to 12.00 PM : Prepare the bear enrichment
12.00 to 13.00 PM : Lunch
13.00 to 15.00 PM : Tour of other animals at the centre, the facility has over 1,000 animals from over 200 species, many of which you'll be able to meet during your visit
15.00 - 15.30 PM : Help the keepers to put out the enrichment treats prepared earlier, feed the bears
15.30 PM : Leave the sanctuary and return to Phnom Penh
17:00 PM : Arrive back at Mad Monkey
