Although a slight detour from the Old City, Flips&Flips is definitely worth the trek. Light and fluffy, yet still rich and not overly sweet, these homemade donuts will melt in your mouth. Their sugar-glazed doughnuts are on point, the green tea doughnuts are surprisingly addicting, and the chocolate almond doughnuts are to die for. Harinezumi Cafe: Hedgehog Cafe in Chiang Mai
Serving up waffles topped with ice cream, this cafe in Chiang Mai should definitely be on your list. We’re not gonna lie though, the main stars of this place are the insanely cute little hedgehogs and guinea pigs you can cuddle while snacking. While the hedgehogs can be a bit shy, they also provide food to feed them so they warm up to you quickly. All of the animals are clean and well taken care of; the guinea pigs have a large play area and ramp, and the hedgehogs spend most of their time snuggling up with their families. If you’re concerned about holding these spiky little guys, they provide thick gloves and the employees can also assist you whenever you’d like. Don’t miss out on this cuteness overload while you’re in Chiang Mai!
