Sister Srey Cafe is an open-aired coffee shop located across the street from one of the city’s most renowned parks. Traditional Khmer music plays in the background as diners enjoy the large array of both food and drinks found here. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they are at the ready to give recommendations on both the local cuisine and coffee drinks, which includes:

You also have a selection of dairy, soy, almond, and coconut milk as well as the option of adding a shot of vanilla or caramel syrup to any caffeine drink! An Amazing Art Gallery & Creative Cafe: ARTillery Cafe

ARTillery Cafe is but a five-minute walk from Sister Srey Cafe. Its menu is one of the most extensive in the city in terms of diet variety, with everything from vegetarian, vegan, raw, and gluten-free options on the menu. In addition to its delicious menu, ARTillery Cafe is equipped with plenty of coffee beverages to get you ready for a day of exploring Siem Reap. Caffeinated favorites include:

  • Espressos ($1.75 single and $$2.25 double)
  • Americanos ($2.25)
  • Lattes ($2.75)
  • Cappuccinos ($2.75)

You can even choose from dairy, cashew, or coconut milk. The most unique drink on the menu is certainly their Black Tonic ($3.25), a delicious blend of espresso over ice topped with tonic, wild honey, and lime.

Great Coffee and Comfortable Siem Reap Cafe: Brother Bong Cafe

Brother Bong Cafe was founded because of a love for coffee by a young Cambodian couple. Bunthoeun and his wife Leang Heng are to thank for this quaint cafe spot, which serves up some of the best iced and hot coffee in town. Be sure to try their:

The friendly staff here are all locals, so you know your money is going straight back into the community at Brother Bong Cafe. In addition to coffee, this cafe is serving up smoothies and milkshakes, juices, breakfast foods, Khmer dishes, light bites, mains, and sandwiches. There are also gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options available. Just look for the adorable symbols!

Cafe & Coworking Space in Siem Reap: Footprint Cafes 

Footprint Cafes is a favorited coffee shop amongst digital nomads and expats. This social enterprise was created to help connect the local community with the international tourist industry, and they have certainly succeeded. Their motto ‘People, Planet and Profit,’ shines in everything this cafe does. Adding onto this, they believe in paying their team fair wages, and 100 percent of their net profits are given as grants for educational projects.

So you know that you are doing some good with every visit to this excellent cafe – but what about their menu? Without a doubt, they do not disappoint with any of the food and drink items. If you are looking for somewhere to get your caffeine fix, be sure to check out their hefty coffee selection, including:

Laundromat and Cafe: The Missing Socks Laundry Cafe

If you are running low on clean clothes and need your caffeine fix for the day, but sure to visit The Missing Socks Laundry Cafe. Arguably Siem Reap’s most unique cafe, this coffee shop and restaurant duo is the only one in the city that offers visitors coin laundromat services. Choose one of their caffeinated favorites, including:

  • Espressos ($1.50-2)
  • Long Blacks ($2-2.50)
  • Flat Whites ($3)
  • Macchiatos ($2)

Wait only 60 minutes for your laundry to be both washed and dried while you enjoy your coffee or one of their local Khmer dishes. The laundromat is open 24 hours a day should you not have time to frequent this cafe during open hours. It is only $3 per wash for 30 minutes for up to 8 kilograms of clothing. It is also only $1 for every ten minutes you dry your clothes.
In addition to clean clothes, be sure to check out their extensive menu featuring waffles, pasta, Khmer dishes, light bites, desserts, and more. As The Missing Socks Laundry Cafe likes to say, “Wi-Fi and conversations are on the house. We will not be held accountable for any incidents of missing socks!”

Unique Coffee Drinks in Siem Reap: The Little Red Fox Espresso

If you are looking for the most extensive and unique coffee selection in the city, look no further than The Little Red Fox Espresso. This cafe uses the Feel Good Coffee ‘House Blend.’ It’s fair trade, chemical free, and locally made – it doesn’t get much better than that.
We can’t even begin to list all of the delicious caffeinated beverages found here, so instead, check out some of their most unique blends below!

  • Coconut and Cinnamon Mocha (it’s vegan!) ($3.75-4.25)
  • Lemongrass & Ginger Latte ($3.25-3.75)
  • Iced Cuban ($2.50)

This cafe is also serving up all the coffee essentials, including hot and cold brews should you not be an extravagant coffee drinker.
In addition to the drinks, The Little Red Fox Espresso is one of the only cafes on our list that is equipped with air-conditioning, which is such a treat in a hot city such as Siem Reap. Should you fall in love with this cafe’s brews (which is likely), you can even purchase their beans to take home with you!

Delicious Western and Khmer Food: Common Grounds

Feel like you are making a difference with every cup of coffee you drink at Common Grounds. This restaurant and coffee shop duo opened on January 16, 2008, and has been impressing visitors with its social initiative, food, and drinks ever since.
It was originally opened by Julie Martinez as part of their parent organization, People for Care and Learning (PCL). Their goal is to provide otherwise disadvantaged people the opportunity to get on-the-job training. Some of the employees who started at Common Grounds with zero experience left to go work in some of the top hotels in the country, for example.
In addition, this cafe believes in:

  • Fair salaries
  • Job vocational training
  • Scholarships to provide continued education
  • Supporting local farmers and artisans

This cafe also boasts one of the largest coffee selections in Siem Reap. With everything from Hazelnut Lattes ($3-3.50) to Iced Mocha Lattes ($$3.25-3.75) and more, you must add this cafe on your coffee exploration of Siem Reap – a cafe that believes it’s not about profit, but people!

Bagels & Siem Reap Vegan Bakery: Bang Bang

Bang Bang is a must-visit cafe in Siem Reap. What makes this venue stand out from the rest are the delicious baked goods made here by skilled bakers Zita and Jana. In addition to one of their delicious bagels or desserts, be sure to check out their large coffee selection, which includes:

The Source Cafe

Everyone who visits The Source Cafe will likely fall for it. It is located right across the street from Bang Bang, so be sure to visit both on your caffeine exploration of the city.
This quaint cafe has both indoor and outdoor seating available, with green foliage surrounding its small front terrace. The staff here are incredibly friendly and in addition to a great team, all of the menu items and coffees are delicious and affordable. Be sure to get your caffeine fix with the help of their:

  • Ristrettos ($1.50)
  • Espressos ($1.50)
  • Affogatos ($2.75)
  • Iced Coffees with Sweet Milk ($2.75)

You can also pair any coffee with an additional shot of espresso, caramel syrup, or vanilla syrup. Source Caf has a variety of milk options to choose from, including dairy, coconut, soy, and almond milk! The drink menu is simply too extensive to list, so be sure to check this cafe out for yourself during your trip to Siem Reap.

Vegan Cafe: Vibe Cafe

If you are vegan but looking to spruce your coffee up with a milk substitute, look no further than Vibe Cafe. This all-vegan cafe is serving up vegan, gluten-free, and raw food options. In addition to breakfast, lunch, dinner, and desserts, be sure to try one of their caffeinated beverages, including their:

  • French Press ($2.50)
  • Iced Cappuccino Frappe ($3.25)
  • Spanish Bombom Coffee ($3.50)

All of Vibe Cafe’s coffee is locally sourced and served with homemade cashew milk! In addition, Vibe Cafe supports the Good Vibe Foundation, which aims to provide 10,000 school children in Cambodia with healthy meals.

Vegetarian Cafe & Fair Trade Shop: Peace Cafe

Peace Cafe is so much more than its name implies. It is found a bit outside of the city but is certainly worth the drive. The venue’s tables and chairs, many of which are on elevated tables (Khmer-style), are completely surrounded by greenery and fun, hanging decor. In addition to the great atmosphere the aesthetic provides, this cafe is serving up a delicious number of caffeinated beverages. Check out some of its favorited drinks below!

  • Americano ($1.75)
  • Espresso ($1.75)
  • Local coffee plunger (French Press) ($1.75)
  • Latte ($2.25)
  • Cappuccino ($2.25)
  • Iced Coffee ($2.75)
  • Coffee Supreme (made with vanilla ice cream) ($3)

This cafe also has an extensive menu – so large, in fact, that it’s almost overwhelming! You can choose indulge in anything from sushi to burgers at Peace Cafe.
There is also an adjacent fair trade shop to the restaurant which sells everything from jewelry to water bottle containers and more, all of which were made locally. Lastly, this cafe hosts a variety of community events, including yoga classes, Khmer lessons, and even cooking classes.
