Sydney Harbour is one of the most stunningly beautiful harbours in the world and what better way to enjoy it than by hanging out on a boat! There’s lots of choice when it comes to a day on the harbour so we’ve selected a few of the best options for your boating bucklist. Check them out!

The Island

The Island is Sydney’s floating beach club – a permanent stationary pontoon on the harbour that’s there for those who want to party! Think European Beach Club vibes, glam people and DJ’s bringing in good tunes on the harbour. Water taxi’s leave from Double Bay to pick you up and drop you off. Bookings essential.

Hire Your Own

There are an abundance of options when it comes to hiring a charter boat in Sydney. You can choose from the most incredible luxurious yachts, sailing boats, catamarans or a multitude of smaller more modest boats with both catered and non catered options available.

Most will have a minimum hire period (which you’ll want anyway) and if you’re bringing your own alcohol it will be a requirement to bring food too. There are multiple choices for pick up location scattered around both the North and Southern side of the harbour as well as Circular Quay. We recommend Rose Bay for both easy access to Coogee and avoiding the congestion of the city.

Manly Ferry

Although it’s a popular mode of transport for commuters, the Manly Ferry is one of the cheapest and most enjoyable ways to spend some time on the harbour. Get on early to grab a spot outside on the deck and enjoy the half hour scenic journey and fresh sea air.

Yacht Social Club

The Yacht Social Club is a floating festival that runs every Saturday throughout the summer from early November up to late April 2021. Choose your crew, book your yacht and prepare yourself for an awesome day on the water with festival vibes, party people and good tunes! Be warned they book up early so don’t delay.

Seadeck Sydney

Seadeck Sydney is a gorgeous cruising boat that is available for exclusive hire and also runs popular party events throughout the year. Seadeck is fab for those perfect insta pics and good times! Check out their website to see what’s coming up when you want to go.
